Diane Kabat

Encino, California – Dream A World Education’s Board Vice-President Diane Kabat was honored yesterday by Jewish World Watch and the Solar Cooker Project.

Diane is one of the most generous and giving human beings we know.  We are so proud to have her on our team.  In addition to her tireless efforts helping to bring arts programming to underserved children throughout Los Angeles through her work with Dream A World Education,  she sits on the board of Jewish World Watch and the Solar Cooker Project , runs the children’s gardening program at Stephen Wise Temple and then there is more.

The Solar Cooker Project of Jewish World Watch is committed to protecting refugee women and girls from rape and other forms of violence. Women and girls who have fled the genocide in Darfur, Sudan are particularly vulnerable while performing the critical task of collecting firewood for cooking. Our mission is to reduce the frequency of these heinous crimes by providing women in refugee camps with an alternative cooking option: the solar cooker.

Congratulation’s Diane!
