Los Angeles, California – Dream A World Education, Inc will begin “Secrets of the Heart” residency programs at two area schools beginning September 2012. The schools are Leo Politi Elementary and Selma Avenue Elementary, both which welcome this program for a second time for kindergarten students.
Dr. Michelle Windmueller, specialist with LAUSD, says “this program fundamentally changes the way children look at life.” Secrets of the Heart provides an avenue through multidisciplinary arts to teach children values and life lessons, music – friendship, dance – kindness, theatre arts – imagination and visual arts – gratitude. Each program begins with a parent workshop and professional development for teachers. Professional artists dedicated to this program since it’s inception since 2008 include, Anindo Marshall, dance, Elayn J. Taylor, theatre arts, Bunny Hull, music and newest member Dr. Dawn Norfleet, visual arts.
The Passport to the Heart program will begin at each school immediately following the programs, providing continuity as a new secret is revealed each month and a dance and music assembly provided for residency participants by artist Anindo Marshall.
Dream A World Education’s founder, Bunny Hull has dedicated her life to making sure children have access to arts and values and has created a five-year plan to expand it’s outreach in Los Angeles Title I schools and beyond. 2013 expects to see the rollout of this new plan and the multi-platform programming she has designed to take Dream A World Education, Inc. into exciting new territory.
