In an event sponsored by The Actors Fund, The Wallis and Sony, Dream A World’s Executive Director Bunny Hull joined Joanne Webb, Director Career Center of The Actors Fund – Western Region, Mark Slavkin, head of education at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Ashley Wilkerson, Artistic Manager of The Gabriella Foundation, Elaine Hall Founder and Artistic Director of The Miracle Project, and Dr. Steven McCarthy head of the LAUSD Arts Education Branch for the Creative Classroom Symposium @ the Wallis Annenberg Theatre.
This inspiring day included a keynote address by Mark Slavekin, a panel discussion about the Arts Education landscape moderated by Karen Louis, the Deputy Director Arts for LA, screening of our award-winning documentary short The Ripple Effect, a panel of artist educators, lead by Joanne Webband a brilliant classroom experience presentation by our own DAWE Project Coordinator and Teaching Artist, Michelle A Merring.
The event was attended by over 200 artists and educators.
