Los Angeles, CA – The Herb Alpert Foundation has provided funding to Dream A World Education, Inc. (DAWE) to join its TakePART Arts Initiative (Public-School Regional Arts Team). Along with P.S. Arts and the TakePART program, already partnering with underserved public schools, DAWE is spearheading an effort to bring arts education through its Residency Program to schools in the South Bay.
Founded by Grammy® Award-winner Bunny Hull, Dream A World Education, Inc. is a non-profit that believes in the importance of engaging children at an early age, providing arts with a purpose. Its program, Secrets of the Heart, designed for kindergarten students (and their parents), is a unique curriculum that links the arts experience to academic achievement and critical thinking skills in Language Arts, Listening/Speaking, History, Social Studies and the development of interpersonal skills.
Dream A World Education targets low-income schools in the greater Los Angeles area and has been praised by principals and teachers throughout the district. DAWE looks forward to expanding its programming with the support of the Herb Alpert Foundation and P.S. Arts.
