Los Angeles, CA – The Weingart Foundation has provided funding to Dream A World Education,Inc. (DAWE), enabling the organization to increase capacity by expanding its teaching staff and in-house professional development. With additional provisions for programming oversight, DAWE plans to add Robert Hill Lane Elementary in Monterey Park to its roster of schools, which already includes Selma Avenue Elementary, Gardner Elementary, Cabrillo Elementary, Grant Avenue Elementary, Leo Politi Elementary and Anza Elementary.
Founded by Grammy® Award-winner Bunny Hull, Dream A World Education, Inc. is a non-profit that believes in the importance of engaging children at an early age, providing arts with a purpose. Its program, Secrets of the Heart, designed for kindergarten students (and their parents), is a unique curriculum that links the arts experience to academic achievement and critical thinking skills in Language Arts, Listening/Speaking, History, Social Studies and the development of interpersonal skills.
Dream A World Education targets low-income schools in the greater Los Angeles area and has been praised by principals and teachers throughout the district. DAWE looks forward to expanding its programming with the Weingart Foundation.
