Dream A World Education Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways you can help bring our arts education programs to children in their schools. Consider making a donation, sharing your expert skills and knowledge, or sponsoring a special event. And we’re always looking for volunteers to be there for the kids. Join us in the classroom to help children know they’re important!

Help With Teacher Professional Development Workshops

You attend Secrets of the Heart introductory workshops for teachers and administrators. Assist Program Manager with organizing activities including sign-in and help interact with teachers, distribute materials and set up the presentations of the day whether it is our Secrets of the Heart presentation, Theater Arts or our One World Drum Circle for teachers.

Parent Workshop

Help plan and attend parent orientation. Assist the Program Manager in facilitating the program. Contact parents prior to workshops to verify details and also their attendance. Oversee parent sign-in and collect permission forms. Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus!

Spanish Interpreter for Parent Workshops

Many families are not fluent in English. You can help parents and guardians understand the activities their children will experience and how they can participate.

Visual Arts

As part of a team, you work with the Teaching Artist and other volunteers to assist children with their visual arts projects. Students in Secrets of the Heart learn about hats and headdresses from around the world and then decorate their headdresses with things for which they’re thankful.

Opening Assembly & Culmination Assembly

Participate in setting up and breaking down the stage set and props and setting up elements of the onstage Friendship Tree. Assist our team in putting on a great show. Culmination Assembly: Help set up and break down the auditorium, help children into their costumes, and set up the vision board gallery. Vision boards are collages made by students and their families to express their hopes and dreams for the future. Decorate the Friendship Tree and the stage with the children’s and parent’s wishes — and let them know you support their dreams.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Do you have skills in any of the following categories? We have ways for you to share your gifts! We’re always looking for photographers, videographers, editors, social media aides, PR/marketing specialists, people to help with our mailings, event helpers — the list goes on! Contact us today!
