John Simmons started his photojournalism career in 1960’s Chicago with a camera borrowed from a photographer friend. He is now an Emmy Award®-winning cinematographer and Vice President of the American Society of Cinematographers. His black and white photographs document images of the world around him “at the moment.” We’re honored that Johnny was Associate Producer and Director of Photography for Dream A World Education’s “Secrets of the Heart” opening performance for children.  

Halima Taha is the author of Collecting African American Art: Works on Paper and Canvas. She is recognized throughout the U. S. as an authority on collecting African American art and arts management and has contributed to the field as an appraiser, art advisor, educator and speaker.
